I didn’t even know it was possible to not sleep for FOUR DAYS until recently. It was my body’s VERY extreme way of telling me that I wasn’t taking care of myself. Granted, you would think my body would help by sleeping more, but no, it decided to go without.
It was by far one of the most difficult health situations I’ve been in – ever. The sheer frustration of an exhausted body and mind and sleep never comes. I found myself wide awake when the birds started chirping – enough to drive you nuts after a few days of the same thing.
What broke it? Self care. A massage. A bath bomb. Take out. Husband snuggles. This weekend was downtime, even if I wanted to socialize.
So Sunday brunch arrived and we celebrated. Manmosa style.
